Urban Farm generates 6,000 lbs of food
On just 1/10th acre
The path to freedom
You can grow thousands of pounds of food each year, on just a tenth of an acre. Just outside of Los Angeles, The Dervaes grow over hundreds of species of plants, thousands of pounds of vegetable food, hundreds of chickens, duck eggs, and over 20 pounds of honey.
These four people get over 90 percent of their food from their operation, and the family earns $20,000 per year once their own meals are taken into account. They don’t use destructive insecticides, and nothing is genetically enhanced.
