Garlic is also known to be antibacterial and antimicrobial. Some even call it “Russian penicillin” because it is so effective in treating wounds and skin disorders.

And if that weren’t enough, studies show that garlic may lower blood pressure. 

But wait, there’s more: garlic has been linked to lower overall blood cholesterol levels and higher rates of HDL “good” cholesterol.
