If you read the studies, the Mediterranean Diet is healthy IN SPITE OF olive oil, not because of it.

Restaurant food is “ethnic flavored,” he said — salt, sugar and fat — and served with seared flesh and overcooked vegetables. Don’t kid yourself that anything healthy is happening in those kitchens.
