A study released in June 2013 had startling results: pigs fed genetically modified corn and soy had significantly higher stomach inflammation and heavier uteri.
The study is not without controversy, and some scientists call it “junk science.” The study faced a common problem with any GMO study: the patent holders of GMO seeds do not allow them to be studied.
