How “smart” phones have dumbed people down.
I refuse to carry one.
Why?
So many reasons.
I don’t want my ability to function in the world dependent on a lose-able, breakable, battery-driven device that relies on working cell service.
I don’t want to pay to have every detail of my life surveilled by criminals (i.e. corporations and their government handmaidens).
Here’s a third reason: Apparently smartphones make people dumb.
Here’s how it works in the world of music, but it probably applies across the board.
The good news: The ORIGINAL version of the Internet, the desktop version, appears to work in the opposite direction.
