Going “off the grid” sounds romantic until you factor in energy.
If you’re used to living a modern life (refrigeration, lighting, cooking with something other than wood, mechanized transportation, etc.), you’re dependent on the highly centralized energy system.
…And the control freaks who run things like it that way.
