The recent headlines are buzzing with claims of a groundbreaking study that supposedly demonstrates the life-saving benefits of the Mediterranean Diet, boasting a remarkable 30% reduction in cardiovascular events.

However, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that the study didn’t make any such unequivocal statement. Moreover, the so-called “low fat” diet used as a point of comparison was far from what one might consider truly low in fat.
