Is the US truly the “greatest,” as certain politicians proclaim on a daily basis?

Perhaps.

But when objectively measured by various standards, life in other countries surpasses that of the US in many aspects.

One measure is health.

Other countries have higher survival rates for infants and mothers, longer life expectancy, and lower rates of chronic disease.

It’s difficult to dispute the numbers.

The US ranks last in all these categories among developed nations, and we pay twice as much or more for every medical service, which is essentially bankrupting the country.
